Capcom wanted to brag to us this morning that their zombie extravaganza Dead Rising 2 has exceeded two million units shipped. That, apparently, sets the franchise's total number of copies pushed into the neighborhood of four million. Considering that those numbers include Dead Rising: Chop 'Till You Drop, I'd say there is a lot to be proud of.
As an additional footnote to their little pep rally, Capcom has announced that Canadian authorities have ratified the publisher's acquisition of Dead Rising 2 developer Blue Castle Games. The company will henceforth be a wholly-owned subsidiary known as Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.
Good for Capcom. I was a big fan of Dead Rising 2 and I'm happy to see that sales of the game are reflective of my excellent judgment. Hopefully they'll keep up the good work.
