This has always been one of my favourite songs (exhibit A: My Livejournal account). A long time ago -- I'm going to go with 12+ years -- I saw these guys open for Radiohead. I heard this song for the first time while sitting on a grassy hill on a sunny day waiting for my all time favourite band to take the stage and make my day and the Beta Band -- definitely a hidden gem -- managed to woo me into wanting them to stay on stage just a little bit longer. I knew that I was going to love the Radiohead show and so my mood was definitely elevated and the Beta Band provided the soundtrack to that. How could I not love them?
For about four years I used this song as my morning alarm and never once did I wake up grumpy.

Why is this song familiar? It was featured in High Fidelity which (surprisingly enough) I hadn't ever seen until this past year. Great movie, clearly fantastic soundtrack.
