Board games make for the perfect summer time activity when you and the kids find yourselves bored and looking for some competitive activity. From the monopolistic drive of Monopoly to the competitive nature of scrabble, these five board games rank among the best. Known as classics among the manufactures who produce them, these small, cardboard pieces have been providing entertainment for years now.

A single game can run around 30 minutes, but with only 2-5 people needed to play, it makes for a quick half-hour of entertainment.
