Sign-up to receive email updates at my blog www.dcoreythomas.com. This is the beginning of an experiment to create a personal assistant using Microsoft's Kinect. So far, I've gotten it to recognize it's name, execute commands and properly shut down. All activity you see on screen during the video is initiated by GLaDOS, the virtual assistant. UPDATE: GLaDOS can now access system tools such as the device manager and control panel, media such as My Pictures and My Videos, and can launch Zune Playlists. Plus, a lot more stuff that I couldn't squeeze into the video!
